Formula used:

Distance = Speed × Time

Calculation:

Let the distance be ‘D’ and speed be ‘s’

According to the question,

⇒ D/s = 45/60

⇒ D/s = 3/4

⇒ s = 4D/3

If speed reduced by 5 km/h, time becomes (45 + 5)minutes

⇒ D/(s – 5) = 50/60

⇒ 6D = 5s – 25

⇒ 6D = 5(4D/3) – 25
