Correct Answer - Option 1 : Both Statement I and Statement II are correct

Statement I: The ability of an individual or group implies the components of knowledge, skill, and experience.

Explanation:

  • Knowledge is an understanding. It’s mental or theoretical, rather than practical. Knowledge can be gleaned from a book, and you can gain knowledge by researching online or visiting your local library.
  • The difference between a ‘skill’ and an ‘ability’ is much less obvious than the difference between ‘knowledge’ and the other two. In very basic terms, abilities are natural or inbuilt whilst skills are learned behaviors. When cutting hair you might have an ability to keep your hand steady or cut a straight line, but the skill is what you learned on your hairdressing course.
  • Skills can be developed and improved over time, by combining our abilities and our knowledge, but the underlying abilities are needed in order for the skills to be developed.
  • Abilities, likewise, can be improved and honed to some extent – running fast is a skill, but the ability to run fast comes in part from having strong leg muscles, which can be developed through regular exercise.
  • Ability and knowledge combine to create skills that can be used.
  • Skills and abilities are tasks that you naturally do well, talents and strengths that you bring to the table as a student and/or employee. These include natural capabilities you've always had, in addition to specific knowledge and skills you've acquired through experience and training.
  • Since the ability of an individual or group implies the components of knowledge, skill, and experience.

Therefore statement I is correct

Statement II: The willingness of an individual or group implies the components of confidence, commitment, and motivation.

  • Willingness(noun) the quality or state of being willing; free choice or consent of the will; freedom from reluctance; readiness of the mind to do or forbear.
  • Commitment means following a plan and continuing even when it gets hard and you don't feel like doing something. Motivation is helpful and can drive us on when the reward is something that we really want, but it is a commitment that will keep us going and bring us the success we desire.
  • Confidence in one's abilities generally enhances motivation, making it a valuable asset for individuals with imperfect willpower. This demand for self—serving beliefs (which can also arise from hedonic or signaling motives) must be weighed against the risks of overconfidence.
  • Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. It is what causes you to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. Motivation involves the biological, emotional, social, and cognitive forces that activate behavior.
  • Since the Willingness of an individual or group implies the components of confidence, commitment and motivation.

Therefore statement II is correct

Therefore Option 1 is the correct answer
