Correct Answer - Option 1 : 6045

Given:

22.5% of population is literate.

Total population = 7,800

Concept used:

Total population = Number of literate people + Number of illiterate people

Calculation:

Literate people = 22.5% of total population

⇒ 22.5% of 7,800

⇒ 22.5% × 7,800

⇒ 1755

Total population = Number of literate people + Number of illiterate people

Illiterate people = Total population – Number of literate people

⇒ 7,800 – 1755

⇒ 6045

∴ The number of illiterate people are equal to 6045
