Correct Answer - Option 2 : 0.97

Concept:

Dryness fraction of steam(x):

Ratio of mass of dry steam to the summation of the mass of dry steam and mass of water vapour in the mixture.

\( x = \frac{{{m_g}}}{{{m_g}~ +~ {m_f}}}\)

where mg = mass of dry steam, mf = mass of water vapour

Calculation:

Given:

mg = 50 kg, m= 1.5 kg

\(x = \frac{{50}}{{50 ~+ ~1.5}}\)= 0.97
