  • If the Speaker of the Lok Sabha wants to resign, he has to give his resignation to the Deputy Speaker of the house.

  • The Speaker of the Lok Sabha is the highest authority of the Lok Sabha and the presiding officer of the lower house of the Parliament of India.
  • The Lok Sabha speaker is elected in the first meeting of the Lower House in the Parliament following general elections.
