Impactful stories- a book, a film, an oral story, animated stories and documentaries have the power to bring us closer to something much greater than ourselves. It plays an important role in education in the following ways:

  • Films tell universal stories across national boundaries and languages. Film helps us expand our world, introducing us to values, struggles, innovations, and beliefs beyond our daily experience.
  • Documentary as a digital landscape is an important opportunity for educators. This generation of students in film and video-oriented; we should use this, not bewail it. 
  • Animated stories offer teachers opportunities to present and recycle vocabulary, grammar, and functions of the target language in context through integrating many extension activities related to the story theme.
  • It helps teachers to build Social & Emotional Awareness, connect to Current Events, incorporate Reflective Writing Assignments

In this way, by using animated stories and documentaries in a learning environment, educators can get the attention of young people and take them on a journey to experience the world.
