Given,

Let the salary of Arvind per month = x

He gives half of his salary to his wife, remaining salary = x - \({{x} \over 2}\)

 

He spends Rs. 2,500 on his personal expenses, remaining salary = x -  \({{x} \over 2}\) - 2500

The saving he manages per month is 3/7 of his monthly salary,3 /7 th of his salary.

So,

x -  \({{x} \over 2}\) - 2500 = (3/7)x

x - 5000 = (6/7)x

(1/7)x = 5000

x = 35000

 

Hence, “35,000” is the correct answer.
