Best answer

i) 2 : 3; 12 : 18

a : b = 2 : 3, c : d = 12: 18

If a, b, C, d are in proportion, then the product of extremes is equal to the product of means.

a . d = b . c

2 × 18 = 3 × 12

36 = 36

So, 2 : 3 = 12 : 18

ii) 10 : 12 = 15 : 18

a : b = 10 : 12

c : d = 15 : 18

If a, b, c, d are in proportion, then the product of extremes is equal to the product of means.

a . d = b . c

10 × 18 = 15 × 12

180 = 180

So, 10 : 12 = 15 : 18
