Correct option  (A) Statement-I is true, statement-II is true, statement- II is the correct explanation of statement-I.

Explanation:

Statement-II ∆G = ∆H – TS

∆H for formation of point defect > 0

S > 0

So hence increasing T leads to decrease in G

So increasing temperature, we will get more point defect.

Statement-II is explaining statement-I
