P, Q and R jointly thought of engaging themselves in a business venture. It was agreed that P would invest Rs 6500 for 6 months, Q, Rs 8400 for 5 months and R, Rs 10000 for 3 months P wants to be the working member for which, he was to receive 5% of the profits. The profit earned was Rs 7400. Calculate the share of Q in the profit.

Correct option is 2. Rs 2660

P takes 5% i.e., \(\frac{5}{100}\times7400=370\)

Balance = 7400 – 370 = 7030

Q’s share = \(\frac{14}{37}\) x 7030 = 2660
