The given equation is :

2x2 – 5x + 3 = 0

⇒ 2x2 – (2 + 3)x + 3 = 0

⇒ 2x2 – 2x – 3x + 3= 0

⇒ 2x (x – 1) – 3(x – 1) = 0

⇒ (x – 1) (2x – 3) = 0

⇒ x – 1 = 0 or 2x – 3 = 0

⇒ x = 1 or x = – 2

Hence, x = 1 and x = 3/2 are the roots of the given quadratic equation.
