The servant quarters were lit with rows of coloured lights. The canopy under which the sacred fire would be lit was made by planting four banana saplings on the corners of a square. It was beautifully decorated. The drummers were beating the drums and the servants’ children were dancing. A graceful feast was arranged. Even the mistress of the haveli with her close relatives was present.
सेवकों के कमरे रंगीन बल्वों की लड़ियों से प्रकाश मान थे। जिस वेदी के नीचे पवित्र अग्नि जलाई जायेगी वह केलों के चार बड़े पौधों को एक वर्ग के कोनों पर लगा कर बनाई गई थी। इसको बड़ी खूबसूरती से सजा गया था। ढोल बजाने वाले ढोल बजा रहे थे और नौकरों के बच्चे नाच रहे थे। एक शानदार दावत की व्यवस्था की गई थी। हवेली की मालकिन अपने निकटतम रिश्तेदारों के साथ वहाँ उपस्थित थीं।
