1. Total internal reflection.

2. When array of light passes from a denser to rarer medium, after refraction the ray bends away from the normal. If we increases the angle of incidence beyond the critical angle, the ray is totally reflected back to the denser medium itself. This phenomenon is called total internal reflection.
