Correct Answer - Option 2 : 80 litres

Given:

Initial ratio of alcohol and water = 2 ∶ 5

The final ratio of alcohol and water = 1 ∶ 3

Calculation:

Let the quantity of alcohol and water be 2x and 3x respectively

According to the question,

(2x)/(5x + 10) = 1/3

6x = 5x + 10

x = 10

Now, quantity of new mixture = 2x + 5x + 10

⇒ 7x + 10

⇒ 7 × 10 + 10

⇒ 80 liters

∴ The quantity of new mixture is 80 liters.
