Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : 26.67%

Given:

The mixture is 40 liters.

Percentage of milk in the mixture is 30%

Calculation:

According to the question, we have,

The quantity of Milk in 40 litres of mixture,

⇒ 40 × (30/100)

⇒ 12 litres

The quantity of water in 40 litres of mixture

⇒ 40 – 12

⇒ 28 litres

Now, after adding 5 litres of water to the mixture,

New quantity of mixture = 40 + 5

⇒ 45 litres

Percentage of milk in new mixture,

⇒ (12/45) × 100

⇒ 400/15

⇒ 26.67%

∴ The percentage of milk in the new mixture is 26.67%.
