Correct Answer - Option 4 : 106

Given

The average marks by a 6 student = 96

Formula Used

Average = Sum of observation/Number of observation

Calculations:

Average of 6 exams = 96.

Hence total marks of all the 6 exams = 6 × 96 = 576

Out of these 6, average of 4 exams = 94

Hence total marks of these 4 students = 4 × 94 = 376

So the total marks of the remaining 2 exams = 576 - 376 = 200

Highest marks = lowest + 12

Accordingly,

Heiighest + Lowest = 200

⇒ Lowest + lowesr + 12 = 200

⇒ 2 lowest = 188

⇒ Lowest = 188/2 = 94 marks

Heighest marks = 94 + 12 = 106

∴ The required answer is 106 marks
