Correct Answer - Option 3 : Adolescence

A stage of development is an age period when certain needs, behaviours, experiences, and capabilities are common and different from other age periods. Here are some behaviours you might expect to see at certain stages

Stages of development:- Developmental influences cover a range of behaviours and transformations in a child's faculties and personalities. Social norms, institutions, customs and laws also influence these stages.

  • Infancy (birth to 18 months)
  • Early childhood (2 to 3 years)
  • Preschool (3 to 5 years)
  • School-age or Pre Adolescence (6 to 11 years)
  • Adolescence (12 to 18 years)
  • Pre or Young Adulthood (19 to 40 years)
  • Middle Adulthood (40 to 65 years)
  • Maturity (65 years to death)

Pre-Adolescence is the school-age where students start learning group activities or developing team spirit. Through social interactions, children begin to develop a sense of pride in their accomplishments and abilities.

The child's task is to develop a sense of values to guide decision-making and interests, as well as capabilities that lay the foundation for future decisions.

Adolescence:- Adolescence is an important period for cognitive development, marking a transition in ways of thinking and reasoning about problems and ideas.

  • To create a personal identity based on the integration of values and a sense of self, the adolescent must establish an identity in relation to society, the opposite sex, ideas, the future, possible vocations, and the universe.
  • The establishment of independence. This can create tension with the family over limits, values, responsibilities, friends, and plans for the future.
  • At this age, the team-spirit of children changes as they start getting involved in more activities.

Thus, it is concluded that at Adolescence, the team-spirit of children changes.
