Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs.40

Given

A man sells 20 bananas at Rs.600

He bears a loss equal to cost price of 5 bananas.

Formula used

CP(1 - L/100) = SP

CP = Cost Price

SP = Selling Price

L = Loss

Calculation

Let cost price of 1 banana be Rs.x

⇒ Cost of 20 bananas = Rs.20x

⇒ Loss = 5x

⇒ 20x - 5x = 600

⇒ 15x = 600

∴ Cost price of 1 banana is 40
