The Correct Answer is Aurobindo Ghosh.

  • The leading revolutionary terrorist organization in colonial Bengal was the Jugantar Party.
  • The weekly Jugantar (New Era) was initiated in April 1906 by an inner circle within the Calcutta anushilan Samiti under barindrakumar Ghosh and Bhupendranath Datta (with the advice of Aurobindo Ghosh).
  • One of the two major underground revolutionary trends working for Indian independence in Bengal was Jugantar. This association began in the guise of a suburban fitness club, like Anushilan Samiti.
  • Several members of Jugantar were arrested, hanged, or deported to the Cellular Jail in Andaman for life.
  • Leaders such as Aurobindo Ghosh, his brother Barin Ghosh, Bhupendranath Datta, Raja Subodh Mallik, set up the Jugantar party in April 1906.
  • The primary leaders were Barin Ghosh and Bagha Jatin. They began gathering weapons, explosives and manufactured bombs, along with 21 revolutionaries. Jugantar's headquarters were at 27 Kanai Dhar Road, then at 41 Champatola 1st Lane, Calcutta.

  • Sri Aurobindo joined the Indian independence movement from British rule, was one of its dominant figures for a while and then became a spiritual reformer, implementing his visions of human development and spiritual evolution.
