  • Curriculum change is a learning process for teachers and for their schools.
  • A good understanding of change and a clear conception of the curriculum are necessary conditions for improved implementation of the new curriculum into practice.
  • Many curriculum reforms are based on how the curriculum has traditionally been organized.
  • Factors that contribute to a curriculum change varies between the size of the entire student body, budget cuts, the number of teachers that are in school, and how many classes each student takes a year.

Substitution

  • the current curriculum will be replaced or substituted by a new one.
  • Changing an old book to entirely a new one, not merely a revision.

  • The teacher or the principal has to shorten the schedule to accommodate unplanned extracurricular activities

Value orientation
