Find the respective terms for the following AP.

a₁ = -4; a₆ = 6, find a₂, a₃, a₄, a₅ .

Given: a₁ = a = -4 ….. (1) 

a₆ = a + 5d = 6 ….. (2) 

Solving equations (1) and (2); 

(-4) + 5d = 6 

⇒ 5d = 6 + 4 

⇒ 5d = 10 

⇒ d = \(\frac{10}{5}=2\)

Now 

∴ a₂ = a + d = -4 + 2 = -2 

a₃ = a + 2d = -4 + 2 × 2 = -4 + 4 = 0 

a₄ = a + 3d = -4 + 3 × 2 = -4 + 6 = 2 

a₅ = a + 4d = -4 + 4 × 2 = -4 + 8 = 4
