Here, Vsolution ≈ Vsolvent

Since, in 1l solution , 3.2 moles of solute are present, 

So, 1l solution ≈ 1l solvent (d = 0.4g/ml) ≈ 0.4 kg

So, molality (m) = moles of solute /mass of solvent (kg) = 3.2/0.4 = 8
