3x + 4y = 6

⇒ 3x/6 + 4y/6 = 1

Comparing this equation x/a + y/b = 1, a = 2 and b = 3/2

Straight line intersect the axis at the points (0, 3/2) at and (2, 0)

Thus length of line

Therefore length of line segment 5/2 unit and mid point is (1, 3/4)
