Correct Answer - Option 1 : 10 years

Given :

A is two years older than B

B is twice the age of C

Total of the ages of all three is 27 years

Calculation :

Let the age of A,B and C be 'x','y' and 'z' respectively, Then

⇒ x + y + z = 27   ------(1)

⇒ x = y + 2           ----- (2)

⇒ y = 2 × z

⇒ z = y/2              ----- (3)

From Eq (1), (2), and (3), we get

⇒ y + 2 + y + (y/2) = 27

⇒ 2.5 × y = 25

⇒ y = 10

∴ B is 10 years old
