Correct Answer - Option 1 : 1/17

Given:

x ∶ y = 6 ∶ 7

Calculation:

(4x - 3y)/(5x + 3y)

⇒ [(4 × 6) - (3 × 7)]/[(5 × 6) + (3 × 7)]

⇒ (24 - 21)/(30 + 21)

⇒ 3/51

⇒ 1/17

∴ (4x - 3y)/(5x + 3y) = 1/17

The correct option is 1 i.e. 1/17
